Antonio Anton ANTONIO I analyze from a sociological and historical point of view the civic and union response to delegitimize an aggressive labor reform with the social majority and generate the sociopolitical conditions for its repeal, with the guarantee of sociolabor rights. The confederal directorates of CCOO and UGT called a general strike for March 29, 2012 against the labor reform of the PP Government and its policy of social cuts. As I have explained ( The PP labor reform ), it is a rule that makes dismissal easier and cheaper, worsens working conditions and makes employment precarious; it does not create jobs and prolongs the crisis; It harms the majority of society and unbalances labor relations with a strong increase in corporate power. Together with measures to restrict public spending and cut public benefits and services, it tries to impose a strong regression in socio-labor rights and consolidate precarious living and employment conditions for the majority and, especially, for the most vulnerable sectors.
There is, therefore, a clear motivation for a strong and massive social opposition that, seen from now on, should be remembered. It is the basis of its current delegitimization and the civic position that the current progressive coalition government, the set of progressive forces and, particularly, unionism have to repeal it and approve a new model of employment and Australia Phone Number labor relations. The breadth and depth of this regressive liberal-conservative policy, its claim to generalization and persistence, in a situation of worsening unemployment and the social consequences of the economic crisis, demanded a massive and forceful social response. Broad popular support and firm citizen participation were necessary. A consistent brake had to be put on these antisocial measures to force their change.
It was an action of democratic reaffirmation and progress that, after the entire process of social protest, the formation of a sociopolitical space for change and the configuration of a progressive agreement between the Socialist Party and Unidas Podemos , ended up evicting the Government from Popular Party . A period of change of progress began, in which the social and labor agenda was fundamental, as detailed in the book “ Perspectives of progressive change .” Let's look at some characteristics of this collective experience of social mobilization that is conditioning the current dynamics of social legitimation to guarantee a profound change in the current and regressive labor model. The civic delegitimization of the PP labor reform To social discontent due to the socioeconomic and employment situation, at that time citizen disagreement with that labor reform was added.
